.
It is well documented that I frequented the Dagenham Roundhouse very regularly from January 1970 to February 1973 (I then moved out of the area to Brentwood, Essex)
Unbeknown to me I found out, when joining BCB (or it might have been even earlier on Mojo), that the late Footy used to frequent the venue also and was present at many of the gigs that I attended.
I don't think I ever met him at a London JU but we pm'd from time to time about some of the gigs.
It's mind blowing that he was in the room at the same time as me and that I might have even spoken to him 50 years earlier!
So, I think Mudshark and Teabag, both in Singapore at the time, made connections - in addition can anybody else tell a tale of meeting up other BCB-ers either by accident or unbeknown....?
[Not sure this will gain traction but I'll try!]

Re: Footy and Me
March 2004. David and I are attending a Kraftwek gig in Glasgow. Before the concert I'm looking aimlessly around the crowd, and see a face I think I recognise.
Problem is I've never met this guy in real life, and I'm not 100% sure it's who I think it is. So I walk over and say to the guy.
" Excuse me, are you Jethro from BCB"?
Fully aware that he could turn around and say "Eh" and then I'm going to feel stupid trying to explain this place to him.
However, it was Paul and not only that he was there with Funky Nomad. Ian had a spare ticket and travelled up for the gig.
Another one was when I had a spare ticket for Spiritualized in Edinburgh. I made arrangements to meet Heilan Coo outside. Again we had never met before and was only going on a couple of photos from here. Waiting outside I see this guy and he looks familiar, I go up and introduce myself. It wasn't Lee. Felt stupid as you do.

are you sure? not even at the big August JU (what was it...2013?). the one that lasted three days.
I met Footy several times and didn't even attend all the JU's.

Yes, I've been thinking about that Yves
I may have been in the same room but didn't really get involved with a conversation with him.
It was earlier than 2013 if I did....

I don't think there was any coincidence there. I believe Teabag introduced Muddy to Mojo, but let's hear that from the man himself.
Similarly, I knew Cheepniz years before I encountered the Mojo boards.
I may have been at some of the same gigs as Pete the Pick and Teabag (and even you) as I used to frequent the Red Cow, The Nashville (as it then was) and various other gig pubs between 1979 and 1989.
Bugger off.
