Every year I get asked for a Christmas List to give to my three children and every year I struggle to come up with something, usually records or music/art related books or Amazon vouchers. I don't smoke and I don't drink so those items are out and food related items I can't be much bothered about. I try to give them some ideas within the £20-£40 region and they wouldn't like it if I said nothing, so it's a struggle - a nice struggle but nevertheless a struggle.
Anyone else have a similar problem and if so what's on your list this year, (you might be able to give me some ideas)?

Re: Christmas List
One of the things I’ve got into buying folk over the last few years is a music themed cushion!
I bought Neil Jung a Pavlov’s Dog - Pampered Menial one last year
I bought my brother a Led Zeppelin II one about three years ago
My entrepreneurial son Zed an Elon Musk one for this year’s Secret Santa
Mrs C an Audrey Hepburn (Andy Warhol image replete with cigarette holder)
And I have a Velvet Underground Nico ‘banana’ image
Standard size cover with cushion insert plus p&p is about twenty quid
I am sure a Tom Petty Greatest Hits image is available somewhere

Don't drink or smoke, either, so I, too, am not an easy person to buy for.
My wish lists for the last few years (although I could go out and buy them all in one go), are 1960's DVD boxed sets of the Avengers (Rigg and Thorson), Prisoner, Man in a suitcase, Jason King, The Baron. For birthday a few weeks ago, boxed set of "Dept. S" and for Xmas am getting "Randall and Hopkirk (deceased). If not, PC games. Keeps son happy.

Re: Christmas List
Why make it easy on them?
I still drink and smoke too much as it is (I'm being told), so they won't get me any of those goodies.
I always tell them I don't want anything.
Still, they'll buy something I won't like and don't need.
And then I bitch about it during the Airing of Grievances.
It's the most wonderful time of the year.

There's a big difference between kneeling down and bending over

A piece of art or print?
They could club together if that might be individually too pricey.
You can't go wrong with socks.

Tull Broadsword and the beast 40th anniversary 8 disc went down to £35 so i snapped that up with a vision of putting that on my list and just saying "already bought" so someone could select but i forgot so thats a pressie to myself
Asked for Mannequin Pussy - I Got Heaven cd, the latest Zutons as thats cheaper on vinyl than cd, Fleetwood mac live rumours 77 2cd, as thats cheap. John Entwhistle Smash your head against the wall, green vinyl (less than 20quid on amazon.) And a bunch of music biog paperbacks. Jah Wobble, Bob Stanley bee gees book, that should do me.

Yes, nice idea lads but I don't think it's for me, wouldn't go with the decor.

I saw some of those on Amazon but to be honest I've basically given up buying all these extended this and that sets as I never seem to play the extras more than once - if at all, so it's just a waste of my money.

Alan Partridge and his wife when living in caravan. You did enquire who would like that sort of thing. Obviously someone with impeccable taste. Aha!
