Agreed

The bass is lost in the mix and the tubs are ‘basic’ but the guitar riffs raise them too

I think specifically King Crimson, also they've clearly heard some thrash, but I don't know if there are any bands in that genre that are particularly influential. The violinist clearly knows classical and folk music.

it's a wild and groovy blend. this was their first album... have you heard any of the ones after?

Yes, the next two are similar, the fourth is more keyboard orientated and there's less violin.

Of the first three this seems to have the most vitality.
