Mount Eerie's "Real Death" is lyrically the single most upsetting song I've ever heard. His wife died a couple of weeks before he started recording the album, the section about the gift she ordered for their daughter ... I just can't cope with that:





Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.
