Yes, I’ve seen both too.

I think the Hendrix film was called Hendrix and the poster had Jimi sitting on a stall playing acoustic guitar

The Early Years is such a trove of treasures.

Such a shame it has been so expensive.

Yep - the poster features Jimi pictured playing Hear My Train A Comin', think it's the only acoustic guitar only recording that's been issued of Jimi. One of the reasons I bought the soundtrack.

Was blissfully unaware of its existence until this listen. Looks like it's worth exploring.

More portentous than the album version?

Menacing?

DG's guitar rools.

On streaming.

Or over time individual years appear. Between one and three CDs and a Blu Ray/DVD with the same content.

They turn up on Amazon and Ebay for £25-60.

I have all the years, just missing the final odds and sods volume, which includes La Vallee and Zabriskie Point, The Committee, and live and TV stuff down the years.

Each year volume also has live and TV footage from that year only. The final volume is a mix of stuff left off the others.

Being a late comer to enjoying the Floyd I'm torn between the Syd years and the post Syd period up to Dark Side as to which of the two Floyds I enjoy the most. Haven't much time for post Dark Side, probably never play Wish You Here again and that's the only post Dark Side album I've enjoyed.

Any road, this period is magnificent.

It is all good in my book.

My love extends to the post-Waters years and the solo years.

Gilmour and Wright did great versions of Echoes on his solo recordings.

And Mason's band Saucerful Of Secrets is a joy.

I haven't explored the post-Waters years, so can't comment on them.

This is a great version of Echoes!
