Singer from Iron Maiden dies

Postby copehead » 22 Oct 2024, 09:52

The proper one: Paul Di'Anno

66, Long term health issues.

The first 2 Maiden albums are fantastic records, the first one is one of the greatest debuts of all time.

It all went a bit down hill when Paul left in my view but he was obviously an enormous gobshite and an absolute fantasist, claims he went out with Kate Bush etc.

RIP Paul
Moorcock, Moorcock, Michael Moorcock, you fervently moan.

I saw Maiden live numerous times.
Never once after he left.
Wasn't interested.

You can see me in this clip - at the 3.00 mark - waving an inflatable carrot

Neil Kay "I despise the term 'heavy metal'"

Also Neil Kay: wearing a DIY t shirt with "HEAVY METAL SOUND HOUSE" emblazoned across it.

I love Maiden.

It’s a sad day. Bad health for a while. That’s a shame. Seemed like he mellowed as he got older.

RIP

Which begs the question why are you waving an inflatable carrot? A real carrot would surely have been much more manageable and would have fit in your pocket after the gig.

I mean, I presume he deflates/inflates it as necessary. Much more sustainable.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.
