References the specific angel Abaddon/Apollyon.
If we go down that road, we should include all the 500+ angels (and demons) in John Zorn's Masada series

A bit!
Listening to all this stuff takes a lot of time and I've been busy lately. I hope to get back on track in October.

I've already got Rod's version but, what the hell...

I like this but it's rather long. Maybe I'll add it to one of my 'get stoned and chill' playlists.
Ooh! It's gone all Cale Velvets now. Splendid!

Lovely. You don't get guitar like that any more.

Charlie O. wrote:"10,000 Angels" - Edie Brickell & The New Bohemians (different from Godley & Creme's, I assume)
It is different. In fact '10 000 Angels' seems to be a bit of a thing as I've found a few songs with that title and also a few albums. This is easily the best one with that title that I've found.

I'm not keen on this. I like a few of her songs but I'm not a big fan.

It's an odd little number, isn't it? The intro doesn't seem to fit with the rest of the song.

Can't find it on Spotify!

You know me so well!
In fact, I don't hate it at all. I find it a bit unoriginal and clunky but some of the guitar parts are really nice. There were even a few seconds when I though, '"All right!". Just a few though.

After Slowdive split in 90s, former members formed Mojave 3 . This track is not remotely shoegaze, more like alternative country rock.
And it's wonderful.
Agreed. It's very nice. I'd heard of them but never heard any of their music before. I may have to check them out.

Nice racket but I'm not convinced by the lyrics. I'll have to play it again...

I recognise this one though I couldn't say for sure it's this version. The whole sound is a bit plodding for my tastes.
I'm very surprised to hear they're still going, 50 years later!
