Songs about Angels
I think I'll be working on my Africa playlist for a while so in the meantime ... Angels!
I'm not sure what inspired me to choose this topic for a playlist as nearly all songs with 'Angel' in the title seem to be horribly mawkish or just banal. Some of the stuff I've got so far is scraping the barrel a bit:
Angel Interceptor – Ash
My Angel (Malaika) – Harry Balafonte and Miriam Makeba
Angel of the Morning – Joya Landis
Earth Angel – The Penguins
Angel – Rod Stewart
Angels – Robbie Williams (I know! But I like it. If anyone knows a version with a better singer I’d be interested.)
Pretty Little Angel Eyes – Curtis Lee
Angel of Harlem – U2
Sweet Black Angel – The Stones
Say Hello To The Angels – Interpol
Blue Angel – Roy Orbison
And here's the link to the current version of the Spotify playlist.
Anybody got any other suggestions (apart from, forget it)?
Eurythmics need not apply.

I went with a different version.

I haven't bothered with Dylan since the early 70s but this isn't too bad.

Love it!

Saw him live at the Albert Hall in the 80s. He was dreadful.
This is blues.
No-one likes the blues, Mr. Hugh.

Thank you for sending me lots of Angels!
Ha ha ha!
I'm hilarious.
By the way, I love this one and I'd forgotten about it so, thank you.
Bugger off.

You're welcome... I'm a big fan of T-Bone Burnett the musician.
