Just listening to Earth and Fire.

In 1970 they did underground rock, Jefferson Airplane meets Curved Air.

In 1981 they did electronic Euro pop, somewhat bland.

I bet there is a fascinating story to all that

In The Netherlands 'we' (the 'music aficionados') have a genuine dislike for Thijs Van Leer. First of, of course, the fucking Jodel crap, but that was somewhat forgiven because, despite all that, the band produced some half decent music. But then he went completely James Galway on us, with his "Introspection" bullshit. It was an outrage. Both Mr. Akkerman and I agree. And now Thijs is doing a Focus tour again? He should be deeply ashamed. He was only it in for the money, and still is.

Jazz generally does have a tune but they don’t necessarily play it to you.
