What's wrong with Let It Rain?

I don't have this album, so do I go on youtube? Sorry to be so ignorant, but I haven't taken part in a PSL before.

Yes, you go on Youtube or whatever medium you're comfortable with, as long as you can hear the album well enough to allow you to make eloquent comments such as bouncebouncebounce, ooof, doobs, 'full of music' etc, or just laugh (mwhahahaha)

Not as lively as the album version.

Not sure why some of the others aren't here, though I wasn't expecting to make it myself.

First time I heard the D & D Live album I was severely underwhelmed, nowhere near as instantly exciting as the the Layla album, or indeed the Bluesbreakers album.

Enjoyed Whitlock's vocal contributions to Tell the Truth very much too.

It exists on vinyl as In Concert, a rather slapdash product put out to fill teh coffers while Eric C was in smack-addled oblivion in the early 1970s.

Then again as this carefully researched release. However, these are not all the same recordings as the vinyl release. There is a CD release of In Concert somewhere down the line.

I enjoy his solo outings, there are some Dominos on his first two albums, including Derek himself.

Not heard any of Whitlock's solo albums, and having long left my teenage E.C. infatuation behind he's pretty much slipped off my radar. Shall add the first album to my lengthy waiting to play list.

WHY did they not do Layla?

That's just weird:

'No, I missed Ginger Baker's Airforce at the Royal Albert Hall in 1970. I was in the States, and did get to catch Derek and the Dominos. While they did not play Layla, they did do a b-side, several tracks from the never-completed follow up to that album, some Blind Faith, and some stuff from Clapton's first underwhelming solo album. Result!'
