I saw Elvis Costello (sans support) there, year not recalled except it was a summer evening.
Nonsense to the aggressiveness, I've seen more aggression on the my little pony message board......I mean I was told.

I saw a Costello solo gig at the Hackney Empitre, I think supporting Ian Dury. Circa late 80s

I've seen Blue Oyster Cult there twice, once in the early 90s and once a year or two ago.

I saw REM there on their Green tour, but not sure about anything else, I am sure I must have seen more but I can't recall them.
