I know it's almost a rock and roll history cliche, but I really DO have a hard time accepting that this guy playing this is the same one who did those soulful slow numbers on Layla And Other Assorted Love Songs and then settled into a career of easy-paced ballads and JJ Cale covers.

I know!!!!!!

.

I mean, by analogy, it's as if:

'So while political commentators had almost already accepted that the competition for leader of the Conservative Party and Prime Minister would inevitably be a close battle between Rishi Sunak and Liz Truss, the announcement of Genesis P-Orridge of the industrial band Throbbing Gristle and later of Psychic TV, has blow the whole race wide open. Even if Orridge fails in his bid to lead the country (THIS time, say pundits), the singer of 'Zyklon B Zombie' can expect a top position in a government formed by either successful candidate'.

Anyroad, thanks for a great evening, chaps.

To absent friends. Reap. Ginger. Jack.

Much as I love The Budgsters, I am sadly not available owing to a prior engagement at the opera with Johnny Slider of this parish.

I am sure all of us will enjoy our musical evenings. The greater amount of cowbell will be heard here, I am assuming.

Phew...

Good afternoon/evening.

I raise my glass to wish you good health and happiness, and as a toast to absent friends.

Just got home, got slightly delayed at my allotment, but cycling like the wind has transported me nearly in the nick of time.

Happy to go ahead, though think Kath would love it. Do we want to hit a jazzier note?
