Very happy to take your word on that.

Not sure I've seen Sweet Smell of Success, Peter Gunn or The Fugitive. I'm definitely not a film buff.

The other two are great television, but Sweet Smell of Success is a MUST SEE.

Martin Scorsese turned me onto it in his documentaries on American films. Seen it many times. Just gets better.

Fables of Faustus Lyrics.

Oh, Lord, don't let 'em shoot us!
Oh, Lord, don't let 'em stab us!
Oh, Lord, no more swastikas!
Oh, Lord, no more Ku Klux Klan!

Name me someone who's ridiculous, Dannie.
Governor Faubus!
Why is he so sick and ridiculous?
He won't permit integrated schools.

Then he's a fool! Boo! Nazi fascist supremists!
Boo! Ku Klux Klan (with your Jim Crow plan).

Name me a handful that's ridiculous, Dannie Richmond.
Faubus, Rockefeller, Eisenhower.
Why are they so sick and ridiculous?

Two, four, six, eight:
They brainwash and teach you hate.
H-E-L-L-O, Hello.

Incidentally, my 17 year old went to Camden Market yesterday and one of his purchases was the Tangerine Dream 2022 tour t-shirt

I was impressed

The Coventry show was tremendous, and I gather other dates were as good or even better. My friend I went to Coventry with also went to the Brighton show in a tiny venue.

And doobs on the side:

Is it true that Nick Mason of Pink Floyd was brought to the Hansa at the Wall studios in Berlin in 1976 to do the final mix for Stratosfear?

Answered by Edgar Froese

Yes, that’s true. Nick was with us on the mixing for about a week. He was a very nice guy and pleasant to work with. He liked our stuff a lot. For some reasons we finalized the mix on our own. The way we set our recordings up at that time wasn’t easy to follow. For someone who came in from outside things must have seemed as confusing as a puzzle. But we parted company on good terms

Love the tempo changes throughout the album. One of the things that links the songs together and makes it quite a cohesive album.

One of my fave Mingus albums.

It has an easy mellow feel throughout and as you say John, the tempo changes help the linkage

Trombone - not everybody’s love

Very enjoyable. Dozed off again to the Mingus at the end of a tough week. Not working tomorrow, so a full weekend, including the football final Sunday.

Great couple of albums to start the weekend.

To absent friends. Reap.
