I've had a tune stuck in my head for about three weeks and I'm no nearer remembering who it is.
AOR, female vocal, late 70s and it was a hit. Not judie tzuke but in that ballpark. Almost whispered vocals with this repeated refrain.
I think she sings "here we go again" or "here we come again" then something about love.
It's almost accapella with vocals that kind of layer on each other. I think it may have been performed on the OLd Grey Whistle Test as well.

I presume it's not this horror? (Nowhere near fits the timeframe, but apart from that ...)
Bugger off.

Surely it IS Judie Tzuke - For you
Largely a capella, here they come again, hint of whisper, reference to love, layered vocals..........

I kept thinking "swim as far as you can, swim as far as you can".

Possibly?
Here I Go Again reached #17 in 1976.
Prob not on OGWT, but it was on TOTP.
Originally written by Country Joe And The Fish in the late sixties.
Not particularly acapella though.

Yes! That's it.
Amazed you got it given I'd said it wasn't her! I was thinking of 'Stay With You Till Dawn' when I made that comment, I'd forgotten she'd had another hit.
Thanks everyone!

On the basis of your other clues, if it wasn’t this one then a plagiarism suit would be on the cards…
Cracking track. I have seen her live a couple of times. Pretty good.
