Re: PSL: In Memoriam: Alan White/Yes, Fri 10th June @ 9pm [UK]
Alan White's drumming admirable on this, considering how little time he had to prepare before embarking on the tour.
Funnily enough, Rick said something about this. His tutor at the Royal College of Music told him 'we are preparing you for the moment the door opens. And no one can say when that might be'.
This was in reference to RW's decision to quit his studies and become a session musician (sessions were already playing havoc with his studies).
But it could equally be said of AW's ability to join Yes at the drop of a cape.

Amazingly, Johnny Slider took me to see a talk/performance of Rick Wakeman a couple of weeks back - I missed the PSL, I think.
That was JUST the view of RW we had!!
Interesting - does he do much raconteuring/joke telling as part of his performance?

Sorry Steve, I am going to have to ask: was there a reason for clipping the foreground shrub?

Excellent version of CTTE - enough differences to make it interesting.
Gosh - this intro to Yours is no Disgrace is wonderfully arranged.

It wasn't a tour - it was a special event at the College. He was interviewed by Will Gompertz, the critic. He told lots of stories and only played two tunes - Life On Mars and Morning Has Broken, but they were quite extended versions.

I took a few shots and this one had better clouds might have to review them for a full schrub- I think there is a tree maybe cutting it off.
By the way the water is crystal clear.

Sorry - it's a great photo - I don't want to appear critical but photography is an interest of mine

Right.
Expect that was a great evening - I enjoyed his recollections on Rockonteurs very much. https://www.podbean.com/site/EpisodeDownload/DIR1158519E77K2P
