I saw Jim Lauderdale solo last Saturday in a small (150) venue. He’s one of the finest country songwriters in the biz today and he’s an excellent singer, guitarist and performer himself. I got to talk to him after the gig. It was one f the most lovely conversations I’ve had with a musician in all the years I’ve been doing this.
