Sad.
I've been playing a fair few of his early albums over the last couple of years; Black Dance, Irrlicht, Cyborg and of course Timewind. All rather good. I'll give Timewind a spin now.

This is one death I've been expecting if I'm honest as he never looked in good health and was a heavy smoker, but still it's always a shock when it happens.

Over the years I seem to have acquired nearly 30 of his albums and most of them get played. It's music I just switch off to and let it immerse me. Melody was never his thing but he was a master of creating rhythms and just letting it take its own sweet time to develop over the course of up to 30 mins, and sometimes that is exactly what I need.

RIP
