Old age?

Could be but if that's the case I'm fine with it, sounds clear enough to me.

Hm, I meant that those who think it sounds muddy,
are suffering from old age, loss of hearing.
So, from that, your hearing is fine :-)

Ah, I see what you mean, clearly I misunderstood, message clear now and, apart from tinnitus, the hearing remains pretty sharp thanks Conny and so does ‘Barn’.

It is woefully adequate, yet still the best thing he's done in ten years.
I'm over him

That's not saying much.

His best stuff released this last ten years is old stuff.

That said, to my old ears Psychedelic Pill is much better and Colorado a bit better

Chrome Dreams II and Le Noise from this century are probably the highlights

Yes, they have many robust elements one being Chad Cromwell on tubs

The lad seems to lift most things he plays on.

He appeared on Freedom and a couple of others too I think

I like a drop of decent tubs me

Okay, it's well put here:

His voice is tucked deep into the sound mix of this CD to try to hide the fact he no longer has much vocal range.

Bought it yesterday.
Like it.
It's mastered very low, so you have to crank it up (a good thing in my book)
Don't like the fade out of some of the tracks.

That's the issue- they play record very loud and mix/master very low

Then clarity and definition are lost

I think...

Don't agree att all.
The dynamic are intact and there is no problem with clarity/definition
according to my ears anyway.
