After that I lose interest. If I were to put Living in the Past in there, it would possibly be tied with the first two.
Any more of this insolence and you will be given a warning. I've had it up to here with you lately. Don't push your luck.

I just skip the live stuff.

Can't decide what my next thread should be. I was thinking of Tull or Zappa.

I've never heard a song from it, unless Ian played a song live when I saw him a few years ago.
I gave up Tull after Heavy Horses which I hated.

I struggle positioning this one.

Is it over-familiarity the reason we mark it down....?

I try to think back the the day it was released

It probably deserves better....

Yeah agree totally, its the over familiarity for me, but when you take another look at the songs it should probably be in the top 2 or 3. But with that first era of Tull its an embarrassment of riches innit!

Never bought another album by them after "Songs from the wood" so my choices were basically those ten plus "Living in the past", "Bursting out" and "Nightcap". Hold on, I've got the Xmas album....perhaps that should be number 10.

If you like Songs from then you'd definitely enjoy the other two - particularly Heavy Horses which is more similar.

The three albums were known as the 'folk trilogy'
