Sadly he has passed away. I’ve owned Fully Qualified Survivor for decades but only saw him live a couple of years back when he was already in his late 70s. He was really good. RIP.

Sad news indeed. It is noticeable that musicians from the folk tradition do not seem to retire and carry on performing until they are physically unable to do so anymore.

Fully Qualified Survivor is a truly seminal album. Being the first major record to feature Mick Ronson on guitar it has own place in music history.
