It's quite sweet, isn't it.

For me, there's too much music in the middle and the anecdote is weak, but the first half is evocative.
Bugger off.

I just got frustrated with waiting for him to get on with the anecdote!

The recording is either a story/description or it's a piece of music; it doesn't work as both and it had clearly laid down its marker as a story.
So get on with it!

I'm with Rorschach on this. A cute two-minute anecdote stretched out to five minutes with (literally) anonymous music - what were they thinking?
