It's all very polite music. Nothing stands out to be honest.

Polite? :D

Fucked Up - Queen of Hearts

Another band that surprisingly won a Prog Cup round for me last time around. (Not this track.)

2 versions, firstly the album track itself, then the official video release with school children providing the vocals. Great video this, doing something very unusual and inventive.

Slade - Get Down and Get With It

I want everybody to say they feel aaaalllll riiiiiight.

Some of their music might not have stood the test of time too well (maybe because I’ve heard it so many times) but I will never tire of hearing Noddy in full flow.

At last! Some proper music!

Noddy at his leather-lunged best. I prefer their more popular big hits because I'm boring and obvious like that but they were a great group generally.
Bugger off.

I haven't listened to that album in years.
I used to love it but he sounds a bit off-key to me on this track. I'll have to go and listen to the album ...

One of my favourite Stones tracks - but not one that gets mentioned in despatches.

Letting the side down there, Bother!

How so?

Beirut - Nantes

Their 1st 2 albums seemed to break new ground and Zac Condon was a music media darling for a while, but the star seems to have fizzled somewhat.

Still love those 1st 2 albums.

Love this track and, indeed, the whole album.
I think Beggar's Banquet is underpinned by a very acoustic sound and this is a fine example of it. I also suddenly feel a bizarre connection between this and Syd's Dominoes. Not musically, of course, but the theme of lazily passing time with an undemanding pastime.

I know what I mean.

Don't know many septuagenarians that had a liver transplantation that can sing and play like that.
This is very good stuff.

I bought that album as a fairly random purchase. No idea what to make of it, I think there's some quality there, but the vocals annoy the crap out of me.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.
