Traffic's 'grey' releases

Postby Walk In My Shadow » 16 Jul 2021, 21:20

Enough Traffic fans on here, so here's a question.

There's not many live discs from this fine band around. Welcome to the Canteen, On the Road, two songs on Last Exit and a couple on the extra John Barleycorn deluxe.

However. There's a lot of 'grey' releases doing the rounds, none of them expensive. The comments on all of those go from brilliant to unlistenable (50/50).
Anyone shed a light on these soundqualitywise?

A good question Yves

Presumably they are all bootlegs so I won't touch them

There must be some decent live material somewhere that can be released officially!!

Yes, Stephen, they are.
But that doesn't mean they are worthless. I recently aquired a Blind Faith in LA, a concert for radio. The sound is more than acceptable and the music is delicious.

There must be more like this.

Good to see you posting Yves. I’ve been concerned with the news regarding flooding. Hope all is well.

Don’t you think it would have been released by now if there was C? There won’t be too many fans left alive if they wait much longer!

Thanks, Les! All is well where we live.

Most of the flooding took place in the lower Ardennes (simply put). Right now the sun is shining and the temperature is 80°F.

But some villages over there are simply wiped out. In Germany as well.

I think "The Last Great Traffic Jam" is an official release?
You wanna be a big cop in a small town? Fuck off up the model village.
