Even more confusing is the fact that the plot starts with side two of the LP and continues to side one.

"The album begins excitingly with a pinball competition between main character Tommy, who is described as a 'Pinball Wizard' and the current wearer of that crown - later, it emerges rather confusingly following the Overture that as a boy Tommy was rendered deaf, dumb, and blind..."

No. I was reading utube commemts and someone saw them at the Royal Festival Hall. Another saw them with the Jeff Beck/ Jan Hammer tour. While I saw Beck I didn’t get Go. I was supposed to see Tommy Bolin who unfortunately o.d.’d days before the concert so for a last minute replacement we got a Southern rock band of middling status.

if you are implicitly criticizing a dear friend of mine, you'll only make me drink more. be forewarned, les.

you'll hafta come over here, fix my starter, and unload my congas.

Nothing bad about Southern rock in general, just this band (which I can’t recall at the moment) and the mixing with Beck and Hammer. They didn’t exactly set the mood. Ahem….

Careful kath - you'll scare the lad off!

Yes, I am not quite following - but if so, that is sterling.

I have always loved Bolin -Teaser and Private Eyes are classic examples of 70s rock,

she knew what he did. so without tellin me, she called her aunt chi chi and told her she needed a black shirt, black biker boots and black leather pants. mwhahaha. it was her way of payin him back for his gesture. she was gonna rawk out. at the time, she was still walkin with a quad cane. THE second we got outta the car, she ditched it. no way she was goin backstage with that.

it was lovely, honestly. the rest of the band, all the crew guys, kept bowing at her all night, whenever they came near her. she beamed all night.

"Winner/Loser" the last track and a lovely one.

It reminds me of something that might've come off Arc of a Diver (an album I love)
