1950s artists still with us and active
Jerry Lee Lewis - he had a CD out, propheticallly called "Last Man Standing". Certainly the last from Sun in the 1950s, if not the last active artist from that whole decade, the 1950s.
Cliff Richard - appeared on the scene in the late 1950s, single debut in 1958 with "Move It"
Mavis Staples - record debut with the family vocal group Staple Singers in 1956, "Uncloudy Day"

Why even bother? It is fitting that I should give ol' Cliff a nod here - just to spite Coan.

Shirley Bassey is still belting them out.
Some of the Larry Parnes stable from the late 50's are still active, Marty Wilde, Vince Eager.

I think Paul Anka's still going.
And Harry Balafonte? I don't think he's still performing but he's politically active. A bit.

Ooh! Dion.
He did an album, Blues With Friends, just last year. Lots of big names blues. Not too bad if you like that sort of thing.
I quite like this one.

Harry Belafonte's voice is reduced to a whisper now.

On the whole, I'd rather be in Wallenpaupack.

And Roger 'Rog' Whittaker isn't even on it. As for GoogaMooga, you ain't seen nothing yet, Artgar (any relation to Paul Simon's old companion, BTW?).
