PSLs, as you can probably recall Erik have been around as long as BCB and are EVERY Friday with one or two exceptions over the years.

LLs were introduced back in March 2020 at the start of the Lockdown in the UK to keep the troops sane. [It didn't work as kath suggests...]. I fear that even after lockdown stops the Tuesday will continue onwards (and upwards)

There is a nucleus of four that attend virtually every Tuesday and Friday and about four or five others, mainly from the other side of the pond whose attendance in more intermittent generally due to work commitments.

A good time is had by all - and as kath suggests we are a friendly lot

Please join us, even if it is only for a few minutes - some folk do that - pop in just to say hello, post 'robust stuff' and go back to work - [but often have the album playing on headphones]

Cool, thanks for this.
I'll be in Europe in 2 weeks and will have loads of time on my hands.
No horses, pigs, chickens cats and dogs to look after, no snakes to battle, no fences to mend, no trees to cut, no grass to mow (we have 3 acres of that green shit), no Texas heat to beat for a couple of months. I deserve it.
There's a big difference between kneeling down and bending over

this is the thing, really. i've been to the UK twice... alaska twice... the baltic once... and all happened at the beginning of summer.

it gets hot, sweltering, humid, sub-tropical and miserable here in new orleans for months. this is not counting the sporadic canes, which are predicted to be pretty bad this year.

i so wanna take a trip this summer. or else hide out in a dark closet with my face buried in an ice chest.

so yer in texas... a question: can you see this image?

Image

(i am gonna nail this down somehow.)

i KNOW you can, for fucque's sake. i took it from the thread in reap corner. ya know, the one where i talked about occasional cross the pond issyews with image sources.

i wanna know if anyone else in america can see it. i can't.

anyone? as in... people in america?

lord. i need some cheesecake.

and p-cat. he could help me.

i LOVE covers. just tryin to figure out the prob. it seems highly unlikely that my laptop would suddenly not "see" images... after i've made over 600 album cover mixes over the years. i well know the sites that never work. so i am tryingggg to figure out why some sites (like progarchives) are no longer workin for me in the images-dept.

right? right.

The silence is deafening....

kath, I said as we boarded a Greyhound in Pittsburgh
Michigan seems like a dream to me now
It took me four days to hitchhike from Saginaw
I've gone to look for America

i've been on a greyhound (slowest ass shit ever). i've been to pittsburgh. i've been to michigan. not to saginaw.

ah... it's okay.

there's one thing: maybe the other americans, the ones who are not me, have more of an actual life than i do. heh. all i've done today is continue to be a home skillet. (i love the phrase. the beezle used to call me that. she even filled out a form in school calling me a "home skillet"... and i was teaching at the time. mwhaha. brilliance, i say.)

i'll hafta figure out the image issyews my own self. i will do it, when i feel more motivated. one thing that would help, even if i get nowhere: post an album title in text with the image. a second of typing. and i can look it up.

if i eat one more bite of any damn thing, i will expire on the spot.

and one more thing: to all folks who served and sacrificed on this memorial day... thank you.

gotdammit, then it's just me. or rather, just my computer. i have no idea why it would suddenly start not seeing certain images from certain sites, but i will get the bottom of this somehow.

i mean, this laptop *is* gettin old. some keys are not responding well. sigh. i definitely need to take it in and at least get em to save what's on my hard drive. that'll take a week.

This happens to me from time to time too, not seeing an image someone posts. It’s a mystery to me. The computers I worked with for image processing were very powerful and complex but I didn’t need to know how they did it in great detail or keep them functioning so I have a big hole in my computer knowledge.
