I’ve never really taken to that band although I’ve owned albums where Vernon Reid has played as a sideman so to speak. Saw them open for the Stones, my last stadium show and they still didn’t move me. Talented musicians, just not my bag apparently.

I was 14 when “Cult of Personality” came out and it sounded amazing in that time and place. I think Times Up is better than the record that was on and has aged better, but there are elements of metal that became dated as soon as the Nirvana record hit big a year or three later.

They're a band I never really cared for that much, but I'm just impressed that anyone else took notice of that Bristol lo-fi scene. I absolutely adore Movietone and Crescent.
Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.

‘Punisher’ by Phoebe Bridgers.
I had no idea who she was but was massively impressed by her performance on SNL at the weekend.

Re: NOW PLAYING.
Mostly 60's girl group influence here, but "Night People" is a sweet bit of retro 70's soul.
