Coincidently playing Down In The Rust Bucket. I have no Weld so can’t compare. This set is stupendous and glad it was finally released.

Yeah, so many great records. I think the sweet spot for me is the middle period. The records are still pretty bluesy, but he's edging towards pop world domination.

FATS DOMINO Early Imperial Singles 1950-52
FATS DOMINO Imperial Singles Vol. 2 1953-56
minus the 2 album tracks tagged onto the end of each.

I don't know Fats Domino's pre "Ain't That A Shame" work as well as I should but trying to put that right.
