Is it even a hard rock album?

Progressive rock yes - a bit proggy?

Can a hard rock album contain keyboards....?

Side 2 of Rainbow Rising is great, side 1 is merely very good. I’d choose Machine Head .

Exactly, that’s why I’m not convinced they are ‘hard rock’ - I would prefer ‘progressive rock’

AC/DC and Motörhead are ‘hard rock’

AC/DC Powerage

nb: if Sandy Denny sings on yer album and you are playing mandolin, The Groundhogs would like a word out back at your earliest convenience if you please.
