I very much enjoyed his first 3 , then lost interest pretty quickly

I bought Born To Run when ‘he was the future of RnR’, which I thought was okay but not particularly that special and only got hold of his other more notable albums when people were selling them for a few pence and they are just fine but as I said earlier nothing very special.

I listen now and again but have never been able to figure out why he was/is regarded as being so great. Haven’t been able to determine what he ever did that was so influential or notable, other than playing really long and energetic shows.

A very good friend of mine loved him and we used to have pretty lively discussions about him.

He's adored/admired/liked/tolerated, but I don't think I've ever heard anybody say they hate him. In my world, he's OK, but I can live without him.

Is "Real Love" the best song George Harrison never wrote?

A knock off Lennon song which he never recorded might have been about right for George.

Never particularly cared for George’s albums although I really like Cloud 9 and the posthumous Brainwashed. Not much of a fan of All Things.

Calm down Chris, it’s only C.

Really exciting and tremendous band, saw them live around of the time this was released and they were superb, possibly the last time I felt real excitement watching a live band. The down side to them was allowing Nic Oliveri to sing/shriek on some of the songs/tracks, once they got rid of him they became unimpeachable, they also had Mark Lanegan with them for a while, what a singer. Josh Homme, their main man is the real talent, fantastic. He’s worked with many luminaries including John Paul Jones and possibly Harold Budd and Eno too.

It’s taken me quite a few years to really get to like this album, disappointed when it was first released, I like it well enough now.

Interestingly, there were a total of six Stooges who appeared over the act's run with only three active at any given time
