Fuck, I used to remember this stuff.

Yes, thats the one.

I was unaware till recently that they had to add a writing credit for Keith Jarrett to "Gaucho" for knicking the riff from “Long As You Know You're Living Yours”. Naughty boys!

For your listening pleasure; magnificent drumming by Bernard Purdie, sax solo from John Klemmer.

I made a list which doesn't contain the 3 BIG hits, and no Fagen or Becker solo either... but a few from their second coming.

It was easier than I thought.

But it's still subject to change.

This is a nice version of 'AMD' by Wilco, though it doesn't really bring much extra to the brilliant original...

The Slider wrote:The rest can do one. Not so much because the songs aren't alright, it is Donald Fagin's horrible smug delivery.

There's an element of smugness to their whole sound which I have struggled with in the past, Having said that I use to own Can't Buy a Thrill on LP which I bought for the 2 big hits - which I still really like - and that album is their least smug sounding and has some good songs not sung by Fagen. I never ventured further though I do own a 1CD Ultimate Collection best of thing which has all the most well known stuff. I've been listening to a few albums online to check stuff to make a full top twenty list and was pleasantly surprised to discover songs that I much prefer to those on the best of. Sometimes their sound can be just too smooth for me on the latter albums but overall I'm quite enjoying what I'm hearing so far.

My guess will be about 10. We rarely get big participation: not even for Dylan.

Suits me. I don’t care what dilettante Dan fans have to say.

I demand hardcore participation.
