Great song but I don't think it will be number 1, its not in my top ten.

Yep, GREAT song, but won't be my number one. May be many people's though, so a good chance for the overall #1.

I don't think I've even heard more than 20. I only know the debut and a Best of, but I'll cobble together a list as best as I can

Take your time, Ray; i will leave this open for a few weeks, so plenty of time to check out some of their deeper album cuts from the 70s especially. If you haven't heard Countdown To Ecstacy in particular, i highly recommend it.

There are no bad Dan cuts from their early '72 - '80 run. As consistent as any band at that time.

Challenge accepted. Does it have to be in a PM? And yes My Old School is the best one. Obviously.

I quite like the one that steals Song for My Father.
And one day n 1977 or so I was in a shop in Croydon and I heard what I thought was a Bowie song (bear with me*)
I went to the counter and asked what it was (by this point I'd gathered it was not the Dame)
It was Haitian Divorce. SKANGA!
I quite like that one too.
The rest can do one. Not so much because the songs aren't alright, it is Donald Fagin's horrible smug delivery.

*listen to the chorus - it is straight out of the Hunky Dory -Aladdin Sane playbook
Complete Prince Mp3 set - on a purple usb drive - available in the usual place if anyone wants it

The debut album has several songs where Fagen doesn't do lead vocals, Slider. Try 'em...
