Yep, GREAT song, but won't be my number one. May be many people's though, so a good chance for the overall #1.

Take your time, Ray; i will leave this open for a few weeks, so plenty of time to check out some of their deeper album cuts from the 70s especially. If you haven't heard Countdown To Ecstacy in particular, i highly recommend it.

There are no bad Dan cuts from their early '72 - '80 run. As consistent as any band at that time.

And one day n 1977 or so I was in a shop in Croydon and I heard what I thought was a Bowie song (bear with me*)

I quite like that one too.
The rest can do one. Not so much because the songs aren't alright, it is Donald Fagin's horrible smug delivery.
