You had me worried, then. Personally, I think it's their most consistent. Phew, what a band.

Yes, a very good band

I have to admit though that over the years

Avalon and Flesh & Blood are my goto Roxy albums.

Am I a freak....?

Very probably C. but, if so, in that case so am I, as Avalon is always my go to Roxy.

Think all three of these could just about fit in here under broad church if nothing else.

The Move, what to make of them? They made some fabulous singles but never quite made the grade with a full LP. Night of Fear, I Can Hear the Grass Grow, Fire Brigade and Flowers in the Rain all superb, plus a few others. Tried some proggy/ progressive type things but a great LP? Just didn't happen.

As for the Primitives the lead off single Crash was/is superb, nothing else on the LP is as good but still a good LP.

As for the Dandy Warhols, kind of a yoyo band, made a few very good albums, one fantastic album and then some quite not so great. Always interesting though and the fantastic Thirteen Tales From Urban Bohemia would very probably feature in my top 25 favourite albums. Distortland is a very good Dandy album.

Avalon is such a great album - so consistent. So joyful

I managed to see them live before they imploded - Dagenham Roundhouse, 18th July 1970

Perhaps! ;-) Did not know you like Roxy Music
And you talked about Can some posts ago....strange times indeed.
Robust band, both of them :-)

Keeping the legacy of Neu! intact, and going strong into the future
Their last album, is their best so far

For me it's one of the most enjoyable albums of its era - in fact, "Crash" might be my least favorite cut on it! (Which isn't to say that I don't like it.)

Their 2014 album Spin-O-Rama is a delight, too.

Interesting in how we differ in what we like even on the same record. Also got Pure, haven't heard the one you mentioned.

A recent s/t debut release from Italian project, one man, Vito Mainolfi, plus guests.

Very promising. Only selected tracks available on Spotify but worth listening in.

Love it, apart from the needless "Strawberry Fields" cover

It's the 1991 See For Miles reissue.

Thieves’ Kitchen’s debut album.

Proper prog this, 5 tracks clocking in at just over an hour. Complex, perhaps a bit disjointed at times, stacks going on, needs multiple plays to fully appreciate it I think.

Hopefully it’ll be worth it.

And their 2nd album - same verdict.

4 tracks at 64 mins.
