Never had any problems with it, think it's a beautiful word, albeit one that is frowned upon in polite circles and still heavily censored. It's so... all-purpose. Dates back to the 17th century, I think. Plenty of synonyms and euphemisms to choose from, take your pick. Personally, I like "bang" (but not gang-bangin'). It has a nice ring to it. I like reissues called Neil Diamond - the Bang Years, or Van Morrison - Bang Masters, what a good name for an indy label. Then there was the time back in the 90s when I visited a film supplies shop in Wardour Street, I was in post-production. Forget what it was, and it doesn't really matter, but the Indian shopkeeper sent me off with a big grin, making a pumping motion with his fist, "You must bang your girlfriend!" It was such an unexpected curveball, I didn't know what to say, perhaps "Right..."
in reality, all of this has been a total load of old bollocks
