Re: BCB Cup 2014 - R2, M15
Don't think much of B's token new thing, but the rest of it works. A seems to have replaced some good tracks with some not-so-great ones. There's still stuff there I like, but too much of it's skippable.

FYI - List A's Links for 6. and 7. are identical = Both Can.

Most of A is good-to-decent, but safe. When it goes crazy, it picks a shocker like that One Dove song. Opeth ain't for me either, at least until the bloke has finished having his dump.
B isn't all to my personal taste, but it's got some cool things like Lee Dorsey and Don Covay and is more interesting than A overall.

A, I think, is a splendid list....
Re: BCB Cup 2014 - R2, M15
B is the kind of quite traditional list that does well in the cup and I like it fine enough, but I want to reward the sparkier independence of A

Let U be the set of all united sets, K be the set of the kids and D be the set of things divided.
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D
Then it follows that ∀ k ∈ K: K ∈ U ⇒ k ∉ D

I really did want to reward the Opeth choice, but there are only a couple of other songs on that list I really like.
Whereas B..

A despite the Opeth. B's is semi-ok-ish but never takes off for me.

A is pretty fabulous, Opeth excepted. One Dove's White Love is a great leftfield pick.
