I'm sick of the eighties!

Backslapping time. Well done us. We are fantastic.

Good goddamn y'all, the world is just a little bit under the weather. I just saw Duran Duran "Girls On Film" on VH1 and it sounded utterly contemporary.

Not a bad song, actually.

That's quite a confession coming from you. It's almost as if you admitted you are gay!

No shame in digging on some Duran Duran.

And so what if I was gay? Maybe I am!

I wonder how many of us actually are? Anyone ever stop to think about that? Huh? It is the twenty first century you know.

Sorry bout that.

I don't mind some Duran Duran here and there. Shit, I heard a Phil Collins/Genesis 80's hit the other day on the radio that I kinda like. And just twice yesterday I heard Hall and Oates doing the Maneater tune which I was surprised to like more than I remembered.

Baron, are you feeling okay?

Duran Duran, I'll give you but Maneater and Phil Collins-era Genesis?

Time heals all wounds. Absent the incessant bombardment of that stuff we experienced at the time, we have a more objective listening experience.

Not to say that Maneater doesn't suck. It just doesn't suckas much we thought. Or who knows, maybe it doesn't suck at all; I haven't heard it in a while.

I'm being totally serious. There are always cringe moments, but there were some nice little bits that I had forgotten about. And, needless to say, I was younger than most of you old bastards, so I like a lot of the crap from the eighties due to osmosis. Whether that changed my chromosomes for the worse is up for debate.

I know, I am too. The age difference between you and me might account for a bit less hostility on your part in revisiting things like this.

What is our age difference? I was born in '64, and think Jeff's around the same vintage.

Ah, well there you go. Maybe when you're older you'll understand. :P
