Utterly predicatable, most influential claptrap.

Backslapping time. Well done us. We are fantastic.

I definitely do.

But then the point was to pick obvious records in the canon, so...

On a totally unrelated note, is your signature quote from Asterix?

The Visigoths are Goths from the West. The Goths from the East are Ostrogoths, but in relation to us the Goths from the West live in the East.

I have the 36 with asterisks. I actually also like the Stevie, Stone Roses, JAMC, Nick Drake, Marvin Gaye and Talking Heads albums, but I don't own them. Just about the only ones I don't like are TheFuckingDoors, Jeff FuckingBuckley's Grafuckingce and Jacko's Thrillfuckinger, which I would slag as highly overrated garbage. Anyone who likes these should slide down an incline of razor blades into a bath of salt! They should be forced to eat their own eyeballs, but only after devoring a bowl of Simon Cowell's feces! That'll teach them a lesson! HRRRUMPH! How dare people have different taste than I!

No on
The Band
Astral Weeks (though my wife has it)
OK Computer
Grace
Born To Run
Thriller
Nevermind--I finally got rid of it

Still that's 43 which is ridiculous--a trip to the used CD store may be in the offering in the near future.

I've got 25 of them now, and there's only about 10 of the others I have any real interest in owning.

I quite like it too, even though I suggested it.

At different moments in time, I had a huge urge to own each of these records.

I like Off The Fucking Wall better, but I don't hate Thrillfuckinger though.

I'm just in a slaggin' mood now.

Well, you must understand this: when I worked at a corporate record store in the eighties, we had to play Thrillfuckinger every day, often a couple of times a day (the store had a playlist). I thought it was a good pop album until I lived through that experience (I can hardly listen to Prince's Purple Fucking Rain or Springsteen's Born In The Fucking USA for the same reason). It was surely psychological torture. Thank Jah I finally got a gig in a used record store where I could stand around, hung over drinking coffee while blasting out Funfuckinghouse.

Hey, I'm feeling pretty cool.

I'm non-canonical

But then Moot will have exactly 0.00% of those and I will find my bubble has been popped in a big way.
