Both my daughters wanted to indentify as Welsh (in addition to British and English) on the census, despite being born in East and West Sussex respectively.
I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.

Are you not concerned that they've got such low self-esteem? :P

Reading a bio on Leonard Cohen, I didn't know that he was actually in Havana (as a young tourist - perhaps the only in the country at the time given the circumstances - dressed and looking like Che Guevara) when the Bay of Pigs invasion happened. Detained at the airport suspected of being part of the invasion and only made it out by sneaking away onto a flight while guards were distracted.

We watched a great documentary about Andy Sweet last night

Tragic. Well worth watching the doc. Amazing photographer.

The word "amphibrach" - https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/amphibrach

I was looking up stuff on Leonard Cohen at the time, especially re: Famous Blue Raincoat.

When the Beatles heard MacArthur Park (Richard Harris) they went back in the studio and added more choruses to Hey Jude partly by using a loop and then that very long fade so the song was closer to the length of Mac Park 7:11 vs 7:21. Apparently George Martin told Jimmy Webb that it wasn’t a coincidence.

Chicken tikka masala originated in Glasgow (according to QI - though according to Wiki there is some question about this).

Today, almost about to start, three women seek a place in sporting folklore as they bid to become the first female jockey to win the Grand National.
Rachael Blackmore, Bryony Frostby and Tabitha Worsley

Blackmore is on Minella Times, Worsley will ride Sub Lieutenant and Frost to ride Yala Enki.
