The edited version of Shot Down in the Night was actually a single.
Can you imagine that these days....?

I NEED this album!
And I already have a box of thirty Hawkwind albums and two boxed sets right at my feet, some never listened to.
I am incorrigible.
Indubitably.

That was yet another corker - great pick, thanks.
Thanks to all for another wonderful listen, a privilege and a joy.

Caused by being fed up with the song.
Indeed
It was a throwaway when they originally recorded it.
They (Dave and the boys) were clearly embarrassed it did so well
It's a bit like Strawbs and Part of the Union....
- not that silver Machine is a bas track but more a label

Utterly fantastic listen. End of the week, not pulling a Saturday shift, off for FOUR DAYS now.
I will be listening to Hawkwind, at least a bit.
Indubitably.

i had a blast taking his dad to the space and rocket center. he was like a lil kid.
I would be too!
In the science museum (London) they have a replica Lunar Module (full size) and many related artifacts.
Just looking at the Module captivated me.
ohhhh, when i get back to london...
the space and rocket center is phenomenal. you can step inside of what it feels like in a capsule. that's where space camp is (if you've ever heard of it.)
i really am a total fanatical nerd for this stuff. just gone pecawn. i have a collection of all the apollo patches. that's how bad i am.

When someone's great it's hard to stop.
I have problems not acquiring more Jessica Williams, Abdullah Ibrahim, John Coltrane... and so on.

fantastic fucquin album. i loved it, start to finish.
i hope everyone has a great weekend.
i'm out. gotta tend to domestic cookery. er... as opposed to cookery in the wild, wherein someone else is gathering the fucquin firewood.
a toast to absent friends. especially to reap, and his dramatis perso... um... self.
