First time it clashed with a family holiday.
Second time the venue burned down or some such and it was rescheduled somewhere I didn’t fancy going!
My loss I think.

I had a run in on the Official Hawkwind site when I criticised the sound quality of their fiftieth anniversary live album - Hawkwind 50 Live

It doesn't do them justice and is not good enough for the fans.

It sounds like it was recorded underwater in the next room listening through the wall!!

It makes Yessongs sound like Dark Side of the Moon in terms of clarity of sound

They didn't like their heroes being criticised I can tell you.

Silly really - nobody is beyond criticism

Except moi

Nearly 600 pages and it stops just after this album!!

I love his band and his career, but it must be said Dave Brock has put out all sorts of very poor quality recordings of the band down the years. As official releases.

There is a 'Collector's Edition' of this very album recorded in 1979 that has the while set from another show in the tour, but it is appalling quality, especially compared to this.
