Not sure I'd call that singing.

I think he should have stuck to heavily mannered haranguing. He was good at that.

Got a few albums by the Fall, all of them listenable to - he's a choirboy next to Beefheart, Edgar Broughton avant garde Scott Walker and Waits. :D

I generally think they're massively overrated, and Mark E Smith was a rubbish self-parody for years. But I do like the odd track, particularly if they are a bit odd. Like this:

Like fast-moving clouds casting shadows against a hillside, the melody-loop shuddered with a sense of the sublime, the awful unknowable majesty of the world.
