Millie Small had the first Jamaican worldwide hit, "My Boy Lollipop", in 1964. And that's all we ever hear from her today. Which is a shame, really, for she did sustain a career and record some other decent ska and Bluebeat. So I ordered a German comp from 1994, with a generous 32 tracks. Unfortunately, 32 tracks with that high-pitched, squeaky Minnie Mouse voice can be a bit trying. I am wondering if I have dug too deep.

Re: Millie Small
I suspect that you have indeed dug too deep.
A shame this song couldn't have had a slightly better melody, the self written Enoch Power, which I believe was banned from many radio playlists.
