The guy came, looked at the indoor and outdoor units... looked at the thermostat... opened the thermostat, removed two unnecessary AA batteries... done. I was happy.

Re: Lockdown Listen: Spirit: [We were] Ripe & Ready!
ugh forgot again.
so we will tell our little Randy(Spirit story). Back in the 80's we saw Spirit at the Bottom Line(a small club in NYC). We had seats up front which were long tables with a few friends. One of my friends was recording the show with headphones and a tape deck contraption (he worked for bell labs and it was this taping system they were working on). About halfway thru the show Randy jumps on our table and starts playing some lead guitar riffs. He even knees down on the table. He then leaves the table and the next thing we know a security guy comes over and tells my friend to get up and had over the tape. He is then escorted into a back room. They confront him about the tape and he states he wasn't recording that it was just on the table so he didn't break it. They listen and see its just a spirit cassette and they also searched him. What they didn't know is he saw that Randy checked him out and the tape so before they came he handed it to me under table. The dumb asses didn't think to search us and actually let him back to his seat although they held the tape cassette until after the show. The funny thing is the tape came out like crap so it really didn't matter.
