Very sad. He has been suffering from ill health for the last couple of years - a heart attack and a bout of pneumonia...
No detail available at present
A great pianist
Cat food, cat food, cat food again!
RIP Keith

Re: Keith Tippett RIP
I thinkink it was the Prog Cup where I heard something of him and it was quite good.
Need to check him out further, especially since Elton Dean was involved as well.

Re: Keith Tippett RIP
God, I remember seeing this when KC appeared on TOTP - reason being I only owned two albums - KC's earlier Court of the Crimson King
and the Crazy World of Arthur Brown.
RIP Keith.
If anyone is interested, there is a colourised version on YT without any sound.
You would think some technologically adept soul would splice the two together

Re: Keith Tippett RIP
Maarts - this is probably the best (most accessible) place to start
From 1971 and featuring the Softs lads- Robert Wyatt, Elton Dean, Roy Babbington, Phil Howard, Marc Charig and Nick Evans.

Absolutely. I tried to fine the clip but couldn't - Keith in a white suit I recall
I posted a foreign TOTP above - sadly Keith not in a white suit but a nice clip anyway

I thought exactly that- be satisfied with the German version (although the DJ is an absolute plonker)
