I've found it best not to go to the doctor anymore. Asthma, diabetes, and I drink too much. He's never happy to see me.

But he needs people like you! If we were all healthy he'd be looking for another job. Should be jumping up and with excitement - I assume you have to pay for medical care. I don't know much about the US health system but don't think it's run in the same way as Britain's NHS.

I'm a teacher so I have medical and dental provided - I just pay a fee when I see him and there a charge for prescriptions, of course. I'm not unhealthy, really. I just should take better care of myself. But since I never have before... well, you know the rest.

the combination of flyinnnn byyyyy yet packin such a gotdamn memorable punch... CCR embodies it. *sniffle* my life has been formed and made better by this music. i will always love it. it is fair to say i spent a goodly/badly part of my wayward yute with mud on my boots, full moons and mossy trees. not a bad upbringing at all indeed. not hard to imagine why CCR was adopted by my birthplace.

thanks everyone for joinin the party. i am sure i missed some comments, i'll check back later after i am even less sober. mwhahaHA

ya ya.

ya know, two years ago, i had an A1C of 10. two months ago, it was 6.1. i've dropped weight. and i repeat, my point of pride, a normal liver.

and i aint sure i did anything consciously to make this happen, mwhahaha. sometimes life (and death) makes ya wake up... even if it's just a subconscious wake-up call.

oh what. i make sense to me. usually.

have a great weekend, all.

to absent friends. to reap. who was born part swamp critter. well, except for his not eatin seafood. we all have our flaws

Still chooglin'. Right now hearing it through the grapevine. I will try to make the Mayall - never heard it, to my knowledge.

Re: Pendulum, first thoughts on hearing it were that it's really pretty damn good. Even a step under the rest is not so bad. Though I probably put it pretty even with the first.

It's got a lot of what you could call 'psychedelia' on it - interesting that they went that way only after the roots music that inspired them was starting to come back in fashion. To me they're a good example of how to do everything 'wrong' and still have it work out. They had hits, not because they were in step with the times, but because the songs were so good as to not be denied.

And any album with "Pagan Baby" and "Have You Ever Seen the Rain?" can't be that bad.

It's a whole hell of a lot better than Mardi Gras, anyway - though even that has its moments.
