Hi all, remember me?
Hope you've all be tickety-boo in my absence.
Anyway. I have, don't ask why or how, an Audiolab 8000Q Pre-amp. What do i pair it with? Do i need a power amp? Will it work without? What's a good, but not too expensive power amp if i do need one? Any advice much appreciated.

Bloody hell Rich - hi mate!
I hope everything is robust and progtastic and that you are keeping safe and well.
Every pre amp need power amp as far as I am aware.
Separating the integrated box into two boxes was considered a good move - not sure how common they are today and what the present day arguments for and against are. My amps are Musical Fidelity and 35 years old [and superb]
I hope he won't mind mentioning him but Hugh really knows his stuff regarding hi-fi and he may be able to help you out. He is an expert!

Thanks for the warm welcome back people! I've been lurking occasionally but never thought of much to say (like an adopted German kid).
Still got the Seeburg jukebox Frank? I hope it and you are well

Thanks Rich. We are both still going although like me, the jukebox needs regular maintenance.
