Nah, more like child stars, two toothy Danish boys popular in Germany. They sing in Danish, German, and in English, but with a thick accent. Think Laurie London "He's Got the Whole World...", that's the sort of thing to expect. 50s and early 60s was the heyday of child stars.

Note the 'almost'... :D The difference of course is that the boys have a naive charm, whereas Bono & Co. are just plain off-puttingly naff.
