Nah, more like child stars, two toothy Danish boys popular in Germany. They sing in Danish, German, and in English, but with a thick accent. Think Laurie London "He's Got the Whole World...", that's the sort of thing to expect. 50s and early 60s was the heyday of child stars.

Note the 'almost'... The difference of course is that the boys have a naive charm, whereas Bono & Co. are just plain off-puttingly naff.
