It's always on at an odd time here. I'll watch if I can be bothered to do the math.

It is my mother’s birthday. We’re going down to SA to take her out to eat. Pretty sure all parties are hoping Super Bowl Sunday will mean everyone is at home.

I am not particularly a fan of professional football anymore and I find it particularly unseemly and unsettling that so many Americans who otherwise don’t give a damn about football make this appointment television in the name of the advertisements or some cheesy halftime show. It is a grotesque spectacle. It depresses me every year to see otherwise sensible people discussing Super Bowl commercials as if it was something worthy of comment. Vile.

I hope the Chiefs win, of course.

Watching at home
although was invited to two parties. They need to extend the season so it’s presidents weekend so you have Monday off. Otherwise I will be celebrating Groundhog Day first as I go searching for the great bald eagle. Saw one yesterday.

Believe the 49ers will win but rooting for the chiefs and a good game.

When I lived in Los Angeles, I loved the timing of both Monday Night Football and the Super Bowl.

I've been positive towards the Chiefs since the first time that I saw this commercial ...

*We did pick up some Snickers to eat during the game.

We shall be watching it at home with hot dogs, pretzels, popcorn and beer. Go Niners. Mrs JKB is favouring the Chiefs.

I don't like all the spectacle around the game but will watch the game at home so I can escape some time of the madness. I'm not a big fan of professional sports but do enjoy a good game. It must be in my DNA from growing up in Texas. I haven't been to a superbowl party since the Niners were in it last. An ex coworker has season tickets so he through a big one. I find though, even in a room full of dedcated fans the game gets lost sometimes in the atmosphere so I prefer watching ot at home. No special food plans and no plans to watch the halftime show and certainly not the b.s. leading up to the game.
It's going to be a close one I think but the 49ers should prevail.

We actually have two bars/pubs in Wallingford that are showing the Superbowl and staying open until the end of the game (around 330 am here). I really shouldn't go as I'm trying to be sensible with drink/food etc.

However, I can imagine it being the case that I roll in around 430.... good job I'm off next week .....

It's Monday morning. About to go to work. Taping it, then shut off the phone for the rest of the day so I won't hear the result.

It wasn't the outcome I wanted but it was an exciting game to watch which is ultimately what I want.
