I have one of them....

What products mentioned in songs do you own or have owned preiously?
Ever owned a '69 Chevy? Or a pair of Gohills boots?

I expect at some stage we have all owned blue jeans, mentioned frequently.

What else?

Bobbie Brooks was a women"s brand of clothing that was popular in New York when I was a teen. Yes, I had some Bobbie Brooks outfits.

I have an E-Bow as mentioned in E-Bow The Letter by REM.... Well, it's in the title.
I've been talking about writing a book - 25 years of TEFL - for a few years now. I've got it in me.

Mary Had A little Lamb sang Wings. Well, so did I. When we were small (aged about 8 - 12), my sister and I used to care for the orphan lambs on the farm. We were allowed to keep one of them at home where it would be housed in an old Anderson air raid shelter, tethered outside enabling it to graze with relative freedom. It would stay for about 8 weeks before being returned to frolic with its mates back in the paddock at the farm.
The one I recall with most fondness we named Chubby Checker so I guess that ages him more or less.

The only ones I ever had were second hand, but my son did once have a brand new pair of roller skates.

Very sweet story about the lambs, by the way. Although, these days, everything makes me pine for my lost childhood...

A red Cadillac and a black moustache.

The first was a Dinky Toy and the second was painted on.

On my first trip to the U.K., in 1984 with the family, I made sure to get a pot of Wall's ice cream.

My grandparents always had "a sweet jar on the sideboard and a multi-coloured tea cosy" as in the XTC song "Dying".

For the most uninspiring reply, " Black belt ", by John Murry  I was going to put "Kinky boots", but that's another story
