Any takers?
We saw it last night and it was good... but with some reservations.
The whole one shot camera tracking thing seemed to be more about the cleverness of it rather than anything else. Designed to have a spin-off Playstation game.

In 2 hours walking and talking, stopping & starting the main character(s) didn't seem to travel very far and it seemed like the journey took them round in a big circle.

Other than that, though, it was gripping stuff.

As a side note, my son went through some auditions to be one of the extras. They were put through basic army training, and all kitted out in their army uniforms. Unfortunately on the day of the main filming something came in at work so he couldn't do it

Fucking conchie!

I'm tempted to go to the cinema to see this.

The film I really want to see when it comes out in a couple of weeks is Parasite

As posted on the film thread

Technically brilliant but a bit uninvolving. The nature of the premise doesn't lend itself to investing much in the characters. Better than Dunkirk though.

I loved it -- yes it felt like everything was 20 seconds away but its like a dream or a nightmare. Its a traumatic recollection. You don't remember the mundane details, you remember the bits that terrify and scar you, and how you've suddenly arrived at these moments. Also it had some of the best sets I've ever seen and some genuine jump in your seat shocks (the rat!). I'm so glad I saw it in the cinema, he did an amazing job.

The scene of crossing the river over the blown up bridge was filmed a few miles away from my house.
